This Week’s Riddles

Riddle 1 – Who Am I?
Everybody knows me,
So these clues will be quite vague.
Because of me, Pharaoh’s house
Suffered more than just one plague.
I was blessed by a priest
Who gave me wine and bread.
A rich man once asked me for help,
But it was after he was dead.
I had a total of eight sons.
I had a total of three wives.
To most of those who know me,
This might come as a surprise.

Riddle 2 – What Am I?
Twelve times in Deuteronomy
All the people shall say my name.
Three times in the Book of Psalms
I’m named and named again.
Twenty-four New Testament books
Use me to draw conclusions.
Acts & James & the 3rd Book of John,
These are the exclusions.
I’m found in many songs
And when the preacher has been clever.
You need me when you pray
Or you might go on forever.

Part of this riddle is dependent on
